WINNER of ‘The Public’s Choice’ at Bucks Art Society Spring Exhibition 2018 and ‘A Brush with Fame’ Portrait Painting Challenge 2017
George Boyter hails from the little fishing village of Pittenweem in the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland. It is now home to the internationally acclaimed Pittenweem Arts Festival.
He studied Drawing and Painting at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, learning Drawing under Bill Cadenhead and painting from James Morrison and Peter Collins.
Thereafter he embarked on an award-winning career as a creative director in advertising in London. He now lives in Oxfordshire.
He has studied watercolour technique and composition under the modern masters of the medium – Alvaro Castagnet and Joseph Zbukvik
He specializes in watercolour landscapes, life drawing, portraits and oils, has completed several large commissions and has been appointed Artist-in-Residence for Berkley Care Group.
To publicise Bucks Open Studios fortnight in June 2018, George attended the 100 Women event at The CourtyardStudios. During the Bucks Open Studios fortnight he is exhibiting at The Phoenix Tea Rooms, Claydon House, Bucks.
